Q & A

How do you define your role from a leadership perspective?

From a leadership standpoint, I define my role as a force multiplier for the organization. My responsibility is not just to design or implement security, but to set direction, shape decision making, and enable teams to operate securely at scale. I lead by establishing clear principles, aligning security strategy with business outcomes, and empowering engineers and leaders to make confident, risk aware decisions. I see leadership as the ability to translate complexity into clarity and to build systems, teams, and cultures that endure beyond any single initiative.

How do you measure success?

I measure success by impact and durability. Success is evident when security becomes an enabler rather than a constraint, when teams move faster with fewer incidents, and when leadership has high confidence in the organization’s risk posture. Quantitatively, it shows up in reduced material risk, resilience during incidents, and predictable execution of strategic programs. Qualitatively, it’s reflected in trust — trust from executives, engineers, regulators, and customers that security decisions are sound, deliberate, and aligned with long term business goals.

What drives you professionally?

I am driven by the challenge of building security systems and programs that operate at enterprise scale while remaining elegant, pragmatic, and resilient. I am deeply motivated by solving hard problems at the intersection of technology, risk, and leadership, especially where the stakes are high and the margin for error is small. Professionally, I am most energized when shaping strategy, mentoring strong teams, and delivering outcomes that meaningfully protect customers, platforms, and the reputation of the organization
